Twenty-Five years of progressive responsibility in archaeological field and laboratory research, project leadership and planning, and cultural resource and environmental consulting with public and private sector clients. Areas of responsibility included archival research, field research, and artifact analysis; management and policy development, personnel training, all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping, contract administration; writing technical reports; and client relations.

Consulting Experience

Archaeological Services, Inc. (ASI), 9467 Chippewa Trail, Kelseyville, California. Vice President and principal archaeologist. 1979 to present. Prepares cost estimates; negotiates contracts; hires personnel; develops company accounting policies; conducts archival, field, and laboratory research; and conducts National Register and archaeological site significance evaluations according to federal and State of California criteria; prepares technical reports.

Government Positions

Lake County Planning Department. 1987. Assistant Planner I. Duties included review and assessment of projects for land use, population, structure, economic activities, housing, transportation, and related subjects. Conducted basic research and conferred with applicants and agency representatives to identify problems. Analyzed data with respect to relevant laws, ordinances, regulations, and policies. Determined methods to reconcile project conflicts with zoning requirements and State environmental law. Prepared staff reports of summarized data, conclusions, and recommendations and made oral presentations to the Planning Commission.
